Totterdown-based neighbourhood restaurant, Bank will give away its first 500 burgers from 29 September to celebrate the launch of its new, more accessible menu.
Marking the most significant evolution in Bank’s offering since its fire-cooking concept was first launched back in 2023, the new menu will feature everyday options designed to make neighbourhood dining more accessible. This will include an expanded grill section of steaks, lamb chops and burgers, as well as brasserie classics like a Prawn Cocktail and Caesar Salad. These will be offered alongside the more eclectic and elevated style of dishes that have secured Bank’s reputation as one of Bristol’s favourite independent restaurants.
Embodying their new culinary direction, the Bank Burger has been developed by founders, Dan O’Regan and Jack Briggs-Horan, with the aim of creating one of Bristol’s standout burgers. All made in-house, the burger is built around a 5oz patty of aged West Country beef, stacked in a toasted milk bun along with kewpie mayonnaise, black garlic ketchup, dill pickles, smoked American cheese and smoked lyonnaise onions.
Dan O’Regan, owner and founder of Bank, commented: “With so many pressures on personal finances over recent times, there’s no doubt that eating out has become harder to justify for many people, or at least less often. While there will always be room for the more upscale options, we felt that Bank needed to adapt in order to stay true to the concept of a neighbourhood restaurant and continue serving the community as we’ve always intended. Jack and I have been working on this for a while and we’re really excited about the dishes we’ve come up with. You can expect the same top quality ingredients, outstanding fire cookery and attentive service, just with some more pocket-friendly options thrown in.”
To celebrate the arrival of its new menu on Tuesday 29 September, Bank will give away the first 500 burgers served from this date onwards.
