The Cornwall Hotel Collection to take on Walk for Wellbeing 2026 in support of Hospitality Action

Staff from across The Cornwall Hotel Collection will be taking to the north Cornish coast on Sunday 25th October as part of the Walk for Wellbeing 2026, raising funds for Hospitality Action, the charity dedicated to supporting people working across the hospitality industry.

Colleagues from The Greenbank, The Alverton, The Falmouth and, for the first time, The Atlantic will be coming together for the 20km (approximately 12.5-mile) walk, which begins in Newquay and follows a stretch of the county’s beautiful north coast. With The Atlantic now part of The Cornwall Hotel Collection and the route starting close to the hotel, this year’s event offers an extra opportunity to celebrate the growing team while supporting a worthwhile cause.

The Atlantic

The Collection has set a fundraising target of £2,000, with all donations helping Hospitality Action continue its vital work supporting people across the hospitality industry who are facing challenging circumstances.

The walk comes almost exactly a year after The Cornwall Hotel Collection’s Charity Coastal Convoy, which saw colleagues from The Greenbank, The Alverton and The Falmouth take on a challenging 17-mile sponsored walk in aid of Bliss. The team successfully raised an impressive £4,000 for the charity, which supports babies born premature or sick and their families.

The event was a testament to the generosity and community spirit of colleagues, local businesses and supporters, demonstrating how coming together can make a meaningful difference to causes close to people’s hearts.

Following that success, the Collection is looking forward to building on its fundraising efforts in 2026, this time supporting a charity that works directly within the hospitality sector.

Hospitality Action provides practical, financial and emotional support to people working in hospitality who are experiencing hardship. Through its services, the charity helps individuals and families navigate difficult times, offering assistance when it is needed most.

As a hospitality group with strong roots in Cornwall, The Cornwall Hotel Collection recognises the importance of supporting the people who make the industry what it is. Taking part in Walk for Wellbeing is an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges some hospitality workers face, while helping to fund the support available to them.

While team members from across the four hotels will be taking part in the walk, support from colleagues, friends and the wider community is equally valuable. Donations of any size will help the team work towards its £2,000 fundraising target and contribute to Hospitality Action’s ongoing work.

Those wishing to support the team can visit the official Walk for Wellbeing 2026 Cornwall fundraising page.

The walk takes place on Sunday 25th October 2026, with registration from 9.30am and a 10am start in Newquay.

Through initiatives such as Walk for Wellbeing, The Cornwall Hotel Collection continues to demonstrate its commitment to giving back, supporting the wider hospitality community and bringing its teams together to make a positive difference.
