Two sisters, Sophie and Molly, who converted a 1960’s caravan into a mobile coffee shop in 2017, have now taken on the challenge of renovating an old boathouse into the espresso, brunch and cocktail bar Rise and Grind.
Under the hustle and bustle of the beautiful Barbican Wharf, you can find the independent coffee shop and bar hidden away inside the newly renovated boathouse on the water’s edge.
With a contemporary designed interior to provide the perfect all-day hangout for socialising from your morning coffee or afternoon brunch, through to hand crafted cocktails by night, there is something for everyone.
Sophie says: “We aim to focus on quality food and drink, in a great atmosphere, with friendly staff and delicious coffee. All with sustainability and value for money in mind. A unique spot, where we pride ourselves on getting the little things right!”
Pop down to unwind, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some Live music and BBQ, and when the weathers right, enjoy the beautiful views across Plymouth Sound in the outdoor seating area.

The grand opening will be over the course of the Platinum Jubilee weekend.
