Robun presents a Sashimi & Sake Masterclass

Bath-based Japanese restaurant, Robun is set to host a Sashimi & Sake Masterclass on Thursday 24 November from 7:30pm – 9:30pm. Exploring two of Japan’s most revered culinary traditions, the masterclass is open to everyone and will showcase six styles of sake paired with sashimi dishes from Robun’s menu.

Robun’s Angelo Lorea and Mogi from JFC will teach the basics of how rice is polished and fermented to make this iconic Japanese alcoholic drink, as guests discover the nuances and different serving temperatures of each sake. Robun’s head chef will also provide an overview of the history and techniques behind the highly skilled art of sashimi as each pairing is presented, offering an insight into a cooking tradition that was heavily influenced by the everyday staples of early modern Japanese coastal communities.

Tickets cost £29 per head and can be purchased online HERE. Pouring size will be 100ml per sake. All attendees must be 18 and over.

Set in the heart of Bath, Robun offers a casual yet refined environment to share freshly prepared small plates and pairings.
