The UK’s first bacon bar is opening its doors in March

Meat connoisseurs, The Jolly Hog, are launching a pop up solely dedicated to the nation’s favourite brunch item – bacon! An ode to The Jolly Hog’s love of bacon – fans can expect to enjoy a fun twist on classic brunch dishes, small plates as well as desserts such as:

  • White chocolate dipped The Jolly Hog Streaky Bacon cone with vanilla ice cream, honeycomb, and maple syrup.
  • The Jolly Hog Black Treacle Bacon Milkshake.
  • Maple The Jolly Hog Smoked Back Bacon Cheesecake.

Open from Friday 17th – Sunday 19th March, with a limited number of spaces, those who want to book in for their porky fix will need to be quick. Dishes will also be available to order exclusively on Uber Eats over the weekend.

The chefs at Pigsty, The Jolly Hog’s Bristol-based restaurant where the menu will be available – have also developed other bacon creations such as:

  • Hash browns, Chimichurri, local Bristol cheese and The Jolly Hog crispy smoked streaky bacon.
  • Hasselback potatoes with The Jolly Hog Black Treacle Bacon, confit garlic and blue cheese sauce.
  • The Jolly Hog Unsmoked Back Bacon wrapped enoki yakitori with a soy glaze.

Olly Kohn, Co-founder of The Jolly Hog said, “We want to take the nations favourite breakfast food – bacon, and show that any dish, any time of day, can be elevated by a bit of bacon. Especially our Black Treacle Bacon – my personal favourite. Our chefs at Pigsty have been busily concocting delicious recipes using our British, Outdoor Bred, RSPCA Assured bacon and we’re really excited to open the doors to the UK’s first bacon bar!”

The Jolly Hog sells award-winning, British, Outdoor Bred, RSPCA Assured sausages, bacon, and other meat products, at supermarkets across the UK. The brands bacon specifically includes its signature black treacle bacon, smoked back bacon, smoked streaky bacon and an unsmoked bacon – all made using high welfare meat from UK farms.

Saturday 18th March: 12.00pm-4.00pm & 5.00pm-9.00pm.
