The Fishermen’s Mission announces a unique fundraising dinner taking place on Saturday 10th June at Trevear Farm, St Issey

The Fishermen’s Mission is bringing together some of Cornwall’s best chefs to raise much needed funds for people working in fishing across the UK. Jack Stein, Jude Kereama, Guy Owen, Mick Smith and Stephane Delourme will be curating a truly unique menu for the evening, which is to be held at Trevear Farm at St Issey on 10th June.

Since 1881 The Fishermen’s Mission has delivered vital support to fishermen, their families and communities. With more than 13,000 people working in fishing across the UK, the charity strive to alleviate loneliness and improve welfare in fishing communities through providing emergency response to those in need, all year round.

They are delighted to announce a unique fundraising dinner supported by Helping Hands & Pans, a group of volunteers providing services to raise donations for charities,  taking place on Saturday 10th June at Trevear Farm, St Issey.

The four-course set menu of seafood dishes will be cooked by a team from Helping Hands & Pans, showing casing some of the best chefs that Cornwall has to offer – Jack Stein, Jude Kereama, Guy Owen, Mick Smith and Stephane Delourme. It’s rare to get this level of expertise all together and at a unique location looking out to Padstow, the estuary and Rock.

All proceeds from the night will go to the Fishermen’s Mission. They support active and retired fishermen as well as their families through practical welfare and pastoral support. They also provide 24-hour emergency response to any fishing vessel working in UK waters, assisting with injury, or loss at sea.

Julian Waring, Fundraising Manager said “We are delighted to have this level of support to raise not only valued donations but spreading awareness of the need for our fishing families. Everyone included in the fundraising dinner are generously giving of their time; it’s going to be delicious food, cooked by Cornwall’s finest and at a unique location together with stupendous auction prizes. Tickets are already selling fast.”

Details and tickets are available through this link via Rick Steins website or the QR code below www.rickstein.com/fishermens-mission-charity-dinner.
