Owens Coffee introduces Latte Art Essentials workshop for hospitality industry

Leading Devon-based coffee brand, Owens Coffee is delighted to announce its latest offering for hospitality customers: the Latte Art Essentials Workshop. Designed to unleash creativity and elevate coffee-making skills, this immersive two-hour course promises an informative experience for all.

Led by experienced and passionate baristas, the workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to latte art, insider tips and hands-on practice. Whether participants are beginners or already have some experience, this workshop equips them with the knowledge and skills to impress customers and enhance their coffee offerings.

“We believe that coffee is not just a beverage but an art form that brings people together,” said Jenny McDonough, Head of Training and Talent. “We want to empower baristas to express their creativity and elevate their coffee game. It’s a chance to have fun, learn something new, and discover the joy of creating beautiful latte art.”

During the workshop, participants will delve into the fundamentals of milk, understanding its components and its impact on latte art. The session will cover creating a solid foundation for any design using milk and provide step-by-step guidance on creating specific latte art designs, including the Monks Head, Heart, Tulip and Rosetta. The workshop is suitable for baristas who are yet to master these basic designs.

With a maximum of four participants per session, everyone will receive personalised attention and ample opportunities to practise and refine their techniques. For details on how much it costs and the address click HERE.

Owens Coffee is dedicated to training baristas and providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare consistently great coffee. In addition to the Latte Art Essentials Workshop, Owens offers an Entry Level Barista Course and a Professional Barista Course designed for experienced baristas or senior café managers who are eager to take their skills to an expert level. The professional course is only available to those who have already completed the Entry Level Barista Course or have at least 2 years of proven hospitality experience.

Owens’ Latte Art Essentials Workshops are kindly sponsored by Trewithen Dairy, who provide their Cornish whole milk for every workshop. With a 4% fat content, Trewithen Dairy’s Barista Milk works perfectly with coffee providing smooth, consistent latte art results each time.

For further information or to inquire about future dates for the Latte Art Essentials Workshop, please visit owenscoffee.com. Bookings can be made through the website. For group bookings, please get in touch with Owens Coffee by calling 01752 897124.
