Sustainable Cornish distillery launches new Sundowner Sessions for Summer

Cornwall’s first plough to bottle distillery, Colwith Farm Distillery in Lanlivery, in collaboration with the new Colwith Farm Kitchen, is offering a new free-to-attend food and drink destination perfect for summer evenings.

These new ‘Sundowner Sessions’ offer a new Friday evening field to fork experience with live music. From 5.00pm-9.00pm each Friday (from July 28th  – September 29th) Colwith Farm Distillery hosts drinks on the sun terrace (or inside in the snug, if the weather takes a turn) with live music (on the last Friday of each month), two for £15 cocktails and a new Tasting Spirits Flight – complete with beautiful views over the rolling countryside of the fifth-generation family run potato farm.

Freshly cooked gourmet loaded fries are available from the new, neighbouring Colwith Farm Kitchen. Like Colwith’s sustainably made spirits, the pop-up kitchen uses the finest Cornish potatoes grown on the family farm, with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Offering a menu bursting with flavour – expect tasty fries topped with the likes of slow cooked pork shoulder, sweet & sour chicken, white truffle & parmesan – plus decadent desserts!

The new Sundowner Sessions are the perfect place to pop-by after a busy week, for a bite to eat and a refreshing, quality Cornish drink in an idyllic spot.

Visitors can also book onto the new Spirits Tasting Flight Experience, from 7.00pm each Friday, for just £5 per person. It’s an opportunity to sample six of Colwith’s award-winning Cornish spirits – including the Aval Dor Original Vodka, named the World’s Best Vodka at The San Francisco World Spirits Competition (May 2022) – with fun and friendly tuition from the expert team.

Rebecca Chew

The Sundowner Sessions also offer live music from 8.00pm on the last Friday of each month throughout the summer. In keeping with the Distillery’s ethos for supporting local talent, the first welcomes talented singer Rebecca Chew for an evening of relaxed soul, jazz, and pop music on Friday July 28th.

The summer Sundowner Sessions are free to attend. To view the Colwith Farm Kitchen menu, stay up to latest on the latest live music announcements, or book onto the new Tasting Spirits Flight Experience please visit www.colwithfarmdistillery.co.uk.
