Butcombe’s Festival Of Laughs returns this autumn

Following the success of its Festival of Laughs back in May, the fun is set to make a return – Butcombe Pubs & Inns is delighted to announce the Festival of Laughs – The Tall Tales Tour!  The 18-date comedy festival, in association with Pop Up Comedy, kicks off in Bristol and will make its way across the country, appearing at Butcombe pubs in Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Surrey.

Hosted by award-winning comedian and founder of Pop-Up Comedy, Jarred Christmas, Butcombe’s Festival of Laughs – The Tall Tales Tour promises an evening of laugh out loud comedy with three of the country’s most acclaimed comedic talents.

Jarred Christmas, Host says: “We’re absolutely delighted to be back hosting Butcombe’s Festival of Laughs.  We had such a blast on the first tour and now the second tour is much bigger! 18 brilliant Butcombe pubs that will be jam packed with awesome people.

“We can’t wait to bring the comedic talents of Lou Conran, Morgan Rees and Rob Deering to your favourite local pub.  Grab your mates, book your tickets and get ya laughing gear ready because the Festival of Laughs is on the way!”

Featured comedians on the tour are:

  • Lou Conran is a critically acclaimed comedian, writer, performer, curry lover, beer drinker and an all-round good gal.  She has supported Sarah Millican on tour and performed all over the UK and the world. Filthy, charming and immensely funny. Lou was awarded the Comics’ Comic Award in 2022, an award voted on by other comedians. Lou is a force of nature. If you like your comedians outrageously funny then Lou will not disappoint.
  • Rob Deering is a musical comedy wunderkind.  He has featured on Radio 4 and won Richard Osman’s House of Games.  Rob has toured the world with his brilliant comedy and is co-host of the hugely popular podcast Running Commentary.
  • Morgan Rees is a highly acclaimed stand-up, writer and actor. This energetic and hilarious Welshman boasts shows full of one-liners, rolling stories and superb observations.  A greatly in-demand stand-up, Morgan can be seen regularly at all major comedy clubs throughout the country. He has been main tour support for a lot of big names like Russell Kane. Morgan is a hugely engaging comedian with an abundance of jokes and his likeability is off the charts.

Dining options are available before each show – please contact the pub directly for details.  Tickets for Butcombe’s Festival of Laughs cost £15 and can be bought via: www.popupcomedy.org/shows.
