Warrens Bakery opens in Yelverton

Warrens Bakery, the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the world, has just opened its newest store at Yelverton. The new store marks another milestone in Warrens Bakery’s expansion as it continues its growth across the region.

Located in the heart of Yelverton, it was officially opened by Craig Wood, Assistant Retail Director at Warrens Bakery on Monday 19th August and is one of a growing number of stores they’ve opened in the Devon area. To celebrate the launch, vouchers for free products are being issued to locals throughout the opening week.

Craig Wood, from Warrens Bakery, comments: “We’re delighted to have officially opened our most recent bakery in Yelverton, which has seen the creation of 10 new jobs for local people. The expansion celebrates another step in Warrens Bakery’s journey as we continue to share our traditional and innovative baked goods and beverages with new customers. Our existing stores across the country are thriving and we anticipate similar success in Yelverton.” With parking available outside the store front, Warrens Bakery Yelverton will be open seven days a week. ”

The team at Warrens Bakery is pleased to announce they will be supporting the local Yelverton community through outreach projects with local schools and key community groups. Too Good To Go bags will be available and there will be discounts on offer at the end of each day for people living nearby. Customers will also be able to use Warrens Bakery’s digital rewards app, the first digital rewards app from any pasty retailer in England, offering them savings of over £100 throughout the year through discounts and offers on bakery items as well as a new points system.

Established in 1860, Warrens Bakery has a rich heritage and is proud to put a firm focus on provenance, hand crafted skill, traditional favourites and innovation. Famed for its iconic pasties as well as its speciality West Country delicacies, crafted from fresh ingredients, Warrens Bakery caters for all tastes and times of day. With its range of breakfast items, morning pastries, savouries, fresh sandwiches and baguettes, plus cakes, bean to cup coffee and fresh artisan bread delivered daily, they provide a perfect range for everyone to enjoy.

Following the success of the recent openings at Bath Spa and Basingstoke train stations, the Yelverton store signals the continuation of plans for growth at Warrens Bakery as they look to share the best of British baking alongside great coffee with the nation.
