Porthleven Food Festival serves up a feast

The award-winning Porthleven Food Festival is set to return for 2025 from May 2 – 4th, serving up a feast of culinary treats to tuck into.

Jude Kereama, of KOTA & KOTA KAI.

Presented in partnership with renowned local chef Jude Kereama, of KOTA & KOTA KAI, the Chef’s Theatre is set to host an impressive line-up of demonstrations from leading chefs.

The first wave chef announcement includes the esteemed Antony Worrall Thompson, alongside:

  • Michelin starred chef Tom Brown (Pearly Queen in Shoreditch).
  • Rick Toogood (Prawn on the Lawn founder) and Izzy Joscelene (head chef of Prawn on the Lawn Padstow).
  • Ben Palmer (2024’s Great British Menu winner, of The Sardine Factory in Looe).
  • Andi Tuck (head chef at Adam Handling’s The Tartan Fox).
  • Chris Eden (executive head chef of Watergate Bay Hotel and the first Cornishman to win a Michelin star in Cornwall).
  • Kate Attlee (Sabzi).
  • Dorian Janmaat (Chef patron of Ardor St Ives).
  • Fred Goodrich (Little Ears).
  • Ann Muller (Ann’s Pasties)

A must-visit in the Cornwall calendar, the three-day free to attend community festival attracts approximately 35,000 people over the weekend – in a whole town takeover with the heart of the activity held around the harbourside.

As a flavour of what else to expect in addition to the Chef’s Theatre’s live cooking demonstrations, expect street food, workshops and masterclasses, Cornwall Food and Farming Market, Supper Clubs, live music, outdoor, family and wellness activities, a mermaid appearance and lots more still to be announced!

Known for bringing together top-level culinary talent, the festival celebrates Cornwall’s leading food and drink producers and serves to stimulate the local economy – whilst also raising awareness of key issues relating to the environment, food culture and sustainable food production.

For those seeking the ultimate festival experience, Gourmet Weekend Tickets are now available and include access to both the live music Evening Sessions – Friday is Britpop night with Kernoasis & Blur tribute Parklife and the Old Time Sailors are up on Saturday – guaranteed seating all weekend in the Chef’s Theatre and premium parking in the town centre.
