Daish’s Holidays invests over £1.7m in coach fleet as part of sustainability drive

Daish’s Holidays, a leading provider of UK coach holidays, has invested a further £1.7 million in six new luxury coaches as part of its ambitious fleet investment programme and sustainability drive to upgrade its fleet.

Since 2023 Daish’s Holidays has replaced 15 coaches, and with the addition of these six Mercedes-Benz Tourismo vehicles, the company will have upgraded a total of 21 coaches. This means that 60 per cent of its 35-strong coach fleet has now been replaced and modernised, representing a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to modern and environmentally friendly transport. All coaches in the fleet are now Euro 6-compliant, marking the complete replacement of older models.

The new state-of-the-art Mercedes coaches combine enhanced passenger comfort with cutting-edge environmental performance. The Euro 6-compliant vehicles are designed with fuel efficiency and lower emissions in mind and align with Daish’s Holidays’ ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to more sustainable tourism across the UK.

Paul Harper, commercial director at Daish’s Holidays, says: “With the increasing demand for sustainable and reliable travel options, investing in a greener fleet is both a strategic and ethical decision. This most recent investment in our fleet reflects our continued commitment to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to provide a great value holiday experience that our guests expect.

“Coach travel is already one of the most environmentally friendly ways to explore the UK. With all of our fleet upgraded with the latest low-emission technology, we’re proud to modernise our operations to make it even greener without compromising the quality or enjoyment of the journey.”

Each of the six new coaches features modern interiors, air conditioning, reclining seats, and ample legroom to ensure maximum comfort during travel. Safety is also paramount, with advanced driver assistance systems and on-board technology designed to offer smooth and reliable journeys.

Daish’s Holidays will deploy the new coaches across its routes this summer, offering guests a smoother ride to one of its 12 hotels in the seaside locations of Blackpool, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, the Isle of Wight, Llandudno, Newquay, Scarborough, Torquay, Weston-Super-Mare, or Weymouth.
