Cornish Gems appoints new Brand Director

Cornish Gems, a B-Corp accredited holiday letting specialist has appointed Nick Wylie as its Brand Director, a newly established leadership role within the marketing side of the business to help support the business’s trajectory of growth.

Nick brings 25 years’ experience in digital communication and MARTECH, as well brand strategy, art direction and commercial leadership, coming to Cornish Gems with an exemplary reputation for delivering highly effective digital and offline campaigns for national and international clients across a wide range of sectors.

For the past 16 years, Nick has worked for award-winning lifestyle hospitality brands in the UK including the iconic Watergate Bay Hotel, the Another Place Hotels group and SeaSpace, Cornwall’s first coastal aparthotel that launched last year and has quickly established itself as a viable hybrid hospitality player.

MD of Cornish Gems, Michelle Baillie commented, “We’re delighted to have Nick join the team. Founded in 2007 by Nadia Macer-Wright, Cornish Gems has a handpicked portfolio of over 160 luxury holiday homes across Cornwall ranging from beautiful boltholes for two guests to extravagant riverside properties sleeping up to twenty. The portfolio offers rentals to suit most budgets but has its own Extraordinary Gems collection of properties sleeping eight or more that come with private pools, yoga studios, gyms, saunas, private pontoons and beaches as well as gated premises for maximum privacy and security.

Also, the Eco-Conscious Collection that includes properties designed with sustainability in mind. These properties incorporate features like renewable energy sources, electric car chargers, as well as landscaping with native plants. They also use sustainably sourced interiors and construction, all with the aim of reducing environmental impact.

Beyond the accommodation, the Gems offers curated concierge-style experiences, including private dining, spa treatments, and bespoke event hosting for weddings, corporate retreats and celebratory gatherings.
