Falmouth’s Dark Pony Coffee makes “The Best Coffee Shops UK 2026 ” – The only Cornwall & Devon pick

The Cornish coffee scene has a new champion. Dark Pony Coffee has been officially named in THE BEST COFFEE SHOPS UK 2026, earning the distinction of being the only café in Cornwall or Devon to make the prestigious list.

This recognition places Dark Pony Coffee among the elite, having been judged against a rigorous set of criteria that define world-class hospitality:
● Quality of Coffee & Barista Expertise
● Innovation & Consistency
● Ambiance, Atmosphere & Community
● Sustainable Practices
● Quality of Food & Pastry
● Customer Service

Founded in May 2022 by friends Mael, Grace and Jacob who’s shared passion and experience for coffee. They set up the Dark Pony roastery and coffee shop built around one simple aim: championing exceptional coffee. From sourcing and roasting to packaging, distributing and serving, the team does it all in-house in Cornwall, proudly showcasing the work of some of the world’s best producers.

“We are incredibly proud to represent Falmouth and Cornwall on this list. Our vision for Dark Pony has always been to make the world of specialty coffee fun and inclusive to all while showcasing the passion that got us here in the first place, so to be recognised amongst some of the fantastic coffee shops on this list is a great honour.” says Mael, Co-Director

Located on the Moor in the heart of Falmouth, Dark Pony Coffee is a neighbourhood coffee shop and roastery. more info is available on their website www.darkponycoffee.com and follow them on Instagram.
