Aussie BBQ favourite fires up new venue in Cornwall

Smoke, fire and big, bold flavours are taking centre stage in Cornwall as The Aussie Smoker opens the doors to its first permanent venue in Penryn.

Adam Kesacoff – Chief Pitmaster

Already a hit on the South West’s catering circuit, the award-winning business has built a loyal following for its slow-smoked meats, flavour-packed vegan dishes and generous, crowd-pleasing portions. Now, for the first time, fans can experience it all in one dedicated space — affectionately dubbed BBQ HQ.

Led by Chief Pitmaster Adam, whose 40+ years of BBQ experience in Western Australia shape the menu and ethos, The Aussie Smoker is all about bringing people together over great food.

The move from external catering to a permanent base marks a major step for the business — and a big win for Cornwall’s food scene. Guests can expect everything from low-and-slow smoked classics to inventive plant-based options designed to win over even the most committed meat lovers.

True to its laid-back Australian roots, the new venue is designed with community in mind. It’s a place where groups can gather, celebrate and relax — whether for weddings, private parties, corporate events or casual get-togethers with ‘framily’(friends that are family).

Family friendly touches

There’s also a thoughtful, family-friendly touch to the space, with creative features for children and a welcoming environment that makes it accessible for all ages.

With bookable lunch services and regular events already drawing attention, The Aussie Smoker’s new home is set to become a must-visit destination for BBQ lovers in the South West.

As the region’s hospitality scene continues to evolve, this latest opening is a perfect example of a local favourite scaling up — without losing the heart, flavour and community spirit that made it popular in the first place.
