Wraxall Vineyard to celebrate wines of the West Country for English wine week

Wraxall Vineyard is bringing together some of the South West’s most exciting wines this June as part of a week-long celebration of English Wine Week.

The View@Wraxall

Taking place from 20th – 28th June, the Somerset vineyard will showcase a selection of wines from producers across the region, highlighting the quality, diversity and growing reputation of wine made in the South West.

While many wine lovers naturally associate English wine with the South East, vineyards across Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and Dorset have been quietly producing exceptional wines for decades. Wraxall, one of Somerset’s oldest vineyards, is using English Wine Week as an opportunity to celebrate the region as a whole and introduce visitors to some of the wines helping put the South West firmly on the English wine map.

Wraxall Vineyard

Throughout the week, guests visiting The View@Wraxall will be able to enjoy a specially selected range of six South West wines – sparkling, whites and reds – alongside guided tastings exploring the stories behind the producers and the region’s unique winemaking heritage.

David Bailey, owner – Wraxall Vineyard, believes that bringing the West Country wine communities together is hugely important during this year’s English Wine Week: “English Wine Week is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate not just our own wines, but the wider community of producers across the South West.

There is some remarkable winemaking happening throughout the region – at the 2025 WineGB National Tasting Competition, over 30% of the awards were won by vineyards and wineries located in the South West. This year, we wanted to create an event that shines a spotlight on the people and vineyards helping to build the South West’s reputation as a wine destination.”

The celebrations will culminate in a special wine paired dinner in partnership with Bristol restaurant NOAH’S, renowned for its seafood focussed menu and commitment to seasonal produce. Guests will enjoy a bespoke menu with each course matched to wines from across the South West, with the event itself reflecting Wraxall Vineyard’s ongoing commitment to supporting local producers and showcasing the food and drink experiences that make the region unique.
