Framptons breathes new life into its sustainable spring water brand, proudly produced in Somerset with water from the Mendip Hills.
Somerset-based beverage manufacturer and co-packer Framptons is relaunching its environmentally conscious spring water brand, Water in a Box, this Spring – with a striking new look and renewed commitment to local sourcing, sustainable packaging, and regional pride. Water in a Box is packed with mineral-rich water that runs off the limestone of the Mendip Hills. This protected landscape is known not only for its natural beauty but also for the quality of its water – filtered through the region’s iconic geology.
The relaunch sees Water in a Box return to shelves and wholesalers with updated packaging, two new flavours, and one additional format (1L), with a sharper focus on supporting local businesses, schools, venues, and organisations looking to make more sustainable choices when it comes to hydration.
“Water in a Box has always been about offering a more sustainable alternative without compromising on quality. By sourcing and producing locally, we’re able to reduce food miles while championing the exceptional quality of British spring water,” said Framptons. The updated range includes natural spring water and lightly flavoured varieties, available in 500ml, with the spring water also offered in a 1L format.
The packaging is 94% plant-based, fully recyclable, and designed to minimise environmental impact. Only last week, the government announced details of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), which imposes a 20p upfront cost on single-use plastic, glass bottles, and aluminium cans. This will give further support to Water in a Box’s position as a leading sustainable choice.
