Daish’s Holidays, an independent family-owned UK coach holiday group, has confirmed that its Sandringham Hotel in Weston-Super-Mare is set to benefit from a £1.5 million investment following planning approval.
This investment marks phase two of the hotel’s refurbishment programme, following a £250,000 bedroom upgrade in 2025. Building on these bedroom renovations, this next phase represents a significant milestone for the family-operated company and reinforces its commitment to delivering memorable experiences at its portfolio of UK coastal hotels. Daish’s Holidays will direct the funds toward a two-storey extension and major refurbishment, enhancing both the facilities and architectural appearance of the historic landmark seafront property.
The extension will comprise a ground-floor 180-cover restaurant, with a roof terrace which will be accessible via a lift, as well as first-floor bar, café, and lounge areas. The hotel façade and main entrance will also benefit from extensive improvement.
George Brown, Managing Director at Daish’s Holidays, says: “We are thrilled to move forward with these exciting plans for the Sandringham Hotel. The coastal heritage of Weston-Super-Mare and nearby developments, such as the Winter Gardens, has influenced the design and we’re confident that the improved façade of the hotel will help enhance the seafront’s character.”
He adds: “This £1.5 million investment will give our guests larger, more comfortable spaces to enjoy, from dining and relaxing to taking in the sea views from a new roof terrace. We’re committed to making our hotels places where guests can rest, have fun, and create lasting memories.”
The main extension works will begin this October and are due for completion by Easter 2027.
