Pumpkin picking, spooky tractor rides and family fun this October half term at Healey’s Cyder Farm

From haunted tractor rides to pumpkin carving, Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm is inviting families to make some magical Halloween memories this October half term, as the much-loved Cornish business celebrates its 40th anniversary.

With the school holidays upon us, Healey’s Cyder Farm at Penhallow, near Truro, is offering families a fun-filled autumn adventure, bringing together the best of the Cornish countryside with a little Halloween magic. Taking place daily from 24-31st October, Halloween at Healey’s invites visitors of all ages to hop aboard a haunted vintage tractor for a spooky journey through the orchards, before arriving at the farm’s pumpkin patch to pick their perfect pumpkin.

Once they’ve made their choice, it’s back aboard the tractor and off to the Rattler Bar, where everything is ready for a Halloween pumpkin carving session. From spooky faces to creative masterpieces, children and grown-ups can get stuck in together – with the added bonus that the Healey’s team takes care of all the mess afterwards.

And there’s a treat for the grown-ups too. Adults can choose to swap their pumpkin for a pint of Rattler or Rattler Zero, making it an experience that the whole family can enjoy.

This year’s Halloween celebrations are particularly special for Healey’s, which is marking 40 years as a family-owned Cornish business. From its farming roots to becoming one of Cornwall’s best-known cyder producers and visitor attractions, the farm has welcomed generations of families through its gates. Now, as the business celebrates this milestone anniversary, it’s inviting another generation to discover the magic of the farm in autumn.

Joe Healey, Managing Director at Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm, commented, “There’s something really special about seeing families enjoying the farm together, especially at this time of year. Halloween is always great fun here, from the excitement of choosing the perfect pumpkin to seeing what everyone creates during the carving sessions. As a family business celebrating our 40th birthday, making memories together is something that’s particularly close to our hearts. We love seeing children, parents and grandparents getting involved, enjoying the countryside and having a bit of Halloween fun along the way. And of course, we take care of the pumpkin carving mess, so parents can enjoy the experience just as much as the children!”

Beyond the Halloween activities, visitors can also enjoy the atmosphere of a working Cornish farm during one of its busiest and most colourful seasons, with opportunities to explore more of Healey’s farming heritage and discover the story behind its famous Cornish cyder.

With plenty of seasonal fun, a little spooky excitement and something for all ages, Halloween at Healey’s offers a memorable family day out this October half term.

Halloween at Healey’s runs daily from 24-31st October 2026. Tickets cost £12.50 for ages four and above, and £6.25 for children aged one to three.

For further information and to book, visit Halloween at Healey’s.
