For summer 2025 there’s a new way to holiday in one of the most tranquil and beautiful locations on Cornwall’s wild and rugged south westerly Lizard peninsula. Trevean on the Lizard is a four-bedroom luxury rental for the whole family with a private outdoor heated pool and exceptional views of Mullion Cove and Mullion Island. What’s more, the property comes with exclusive use of a Monaco Garcia electric buggy to get around, as well as to access the full range of facilities at the nearby Polurrian on the Lizard hotel and the excellent privately owned adjacent Polurrian Cove beach.
This spectacular holiday home, known as Trevean for over 100 years, has been transformed to a very high standard by Polurrian on the Lizard’s Lincolnshire based owner, Andrew Long and his design team, creating the ultimate coastal experience.

The ground floor comprises a contemporary kitchen and dining area plus a vast living space with glass doors opening to uninterrupted sea views, both making the most of original exposed brickwork and beams. The ground floor also encompasses three bedrooms (all with en suite facilities). Upstairs, the master sea view suite comes with a private lounge area and roof terrace with fire pit. While outside, the landscape grounds feature a private heated swimming pool and hot tub along with a terrace for al fresco meals and barbecues.

Announcing the launch of Trevean, owner and founder of the Loxley Collection, Andrew Long, commented: “l’ve been holidaying at Hotel Polurrian and Mullion Cove on the Lizard with my family for thirty-plus years. Remodelling this house as part of the Polurrian on the Lizard portfolio was the next logical step in sharing this very special piece of Cornwall with generations of families to come.”
Built in the 1890s at the height of the pilchard industry and owned by the National Trust, picturesque Mullion Cove is home to a small fishing fleet. From sea dipping to seal and bird spotting, this area is ideal for those wanting to escape to a slower pace of life. Active travellers can sign up for kayaking and coasteering tours from the cove with Lizard Adventure from May to September or step out on the South West Coast Path to explore coves and beaches further to the north and south. In the winter months, hunker down and watch the storms roll in off the Atlantic.
Whether it’s for a woodfired pizza, sunset cocktail (or mocktail), open-air clifftop cinema screening or spa treatment, guests need only hop into Trevean’s electric buggy to enjoy all the facilities at Polurrian on the Lizard. The four-seater Monaco Garcia is also perfect for popping to the beach with a picnic. Four electric bikes are also available for guests’ use.
Trevean at Mullion Cove on the Lizard comfortably sleeps eight adults with full privacy (up to 10 with additional sofa bed options) and is now available to book.
