ISCA Restaurant & Bar at voco Zeal Exeter Science Park won three gold awards at the Food Drink Devon Awards earlier this week, in addition to being named as a Sustainable Pioneer.
For the second consecutive year the venue was awarded gold in the Sustainability award, Hospitality Restaurant of the Year and Restaurant of the Year categories. Now in its 15th year, the highly-regarded awards continue to highlight the county’s exceptional food and drink sector.

ISCA takes its name from ‘water’ or ‘river’ in the Celtic language, and was the Roman name for Exeter. The restaurant adheres to responsible-sourcing guidelines for seafood, supporting fisheries and farms that maintain healthy fish populations and aquatic ecosystems. The menu prioritises diverse plant-based dishes and carefully selected, high-quality meats from ethical sources.
ISCA is also committed to initiatives that uplift the surrounding community, contributing to its overall wellbeing, including as centre of knowledge, sharing insights on sustainable practices and promoting a culture of learning.
The awards are the latest in a series of accolades for the net zero carbon hotel, most recently Large Hotel: New Project and the overall Project of the Year at the prestigious Sustainability in Design Awards 2026, hosted by Hospitality Interiors Magazine.
